2. As you throw the ball back and forth. Try not to
look at your hands. Watch the top of
the pattern (the place where the ball quits going up and starts going
down.) and watch the
balls--but not after they are in your hands.
3. After you master one, get the second ball. Put one ball in each
hand. Throw the first
ball just like you learned throwing one ball back and forth. Only this
time as the ball
reaches the top of the pattern and starts coming back down THROW the
second ball the same
height as the first--underneath the first ball and toward your other
hand. Keep repeating
these throws until you can toss both balls (WITHOUT PASSING FROM HAND
TO HAND!) To
help you with the two balls, say out loud as you throw, “right up, left
up. catch,
catch.” Then, “left up, right up, catch, catch." OR, say the
color of
the balls to be thrown (green, purple, green, purple, green
purple) This may help
your brain to cooperate with your hands. Also, if you are having
trouble understanding
these instructions, don’t forget to look at the cartoon!
